Brioude, sub-prefecture of the Haute-Loire, was once named the "capital of the salmon". At the beginning of the 20 th century, fishermen would come from all over the world, in the hope of catching this mythical fish.

Dive into the depth of the 16 aquarium reconstituted river. Here starts my adventure, so follow me all along this journey!!!

By the way, I almost forgot to introduce myself: I'm Plampougnit, le petit Auvergnat.

Ears and eyes wide open, we will along the way, come across the Allier River , its history, wealth as well as all its secrets.

We will encounter the "Zones" of the Trouts, Graylings, Barbells and Breams.

But I shan't say anymore and when you come to meet me I shall explain to you what these zones represent.

At the end of the tour, I will lead you to the viewing room where a film will take you through the final stage of this journey.

Old and young will enjoy this fantastic tale.

Children, come with your friends and teachers. With my friends, the biologists, we provide you with half day or full day, theme linked workshops during which you will learn more about the river and its inhabitants.

As to you older ones, do come in groups. The guides will enjoy showing you the Allier with its different types of fish, as well as our "laboratory-museum".
